TIRZAH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
What To Expect in Worship: The COVID Edition
In Person or Online…
We gather in person for worship at 11:00am on Sundays in the sanctuary. The service can also be viewed via facebook live (click here) beginning at 10:55am Sundays, & it remains online for a week.
What we do to deal with germs (Singing, Spacing, Masks, etc.)…
As singing has returned to our services, we ask that folks wear a mask & choose a seat that leaves space between you & your neighbors in the pews (Masks & hand sanitizer are always available at the door). We have also taken measures to increase air circulation. Ushers bring the offering plates to the pews, but we do not pass them from person to person. When we partake in the Lord’s Supper (every other month), ushers will bring the bread & juice to you in your seat.
Children of all ages are more than welcome in worship! We have a message just for kids & things for them to do when the sitting & listening parts get too long. It’s also ok if they make noise… no need to shush or apologize! We are truly happy to have children in our midst. If staying in worship the whole time is too stressful, there is a playroom down the hall where kids can be kids & parents/grandparents can still hear the service. Come and go as you need/want!
A WORD ABOUT US
Joining a church can mean many things to many people. Some seek out God and community when they feel they have lost their way, or are seeking a deeper purpose, or are looking for a way to connect to their family and cultural identity. But it is our belief that the Church, at its core, is about finding love and beauty through God and God’s work.
At Tirzah Presbyterian Church, we inspire individuals of all ages and backgrounds to bring the Lord Almighty into their lives at every moment - moments of joy, moments of despair, and even those moments in between. We are committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and are here to spread His message with loving patience and kindness. Tirzah Presbyterian Church (USA) is a congregation seeking to live fully into its life found in Christ Jesus.
We are located halfway between York and Rock Hill, SC, just 1/10 of a mile south of Hwy 161, inside the Tirzah Community limits. We worship every Sunday at 11:00 am, with Sunday School at 10:00 am.
